Urgent care is most appropriate for injuries and illnesses that are non-life threatening, such as minor cuts and burns, sprains or fractures, and for flu and cold-like symptoms. In situations where your primary care doctor is not readily available, urgent care can provide you with a quick diagnosis, testing and prescriptions. However, for life-threatening or highly concerning injuries such as concussions, deep cuts or compound fractures, or for heart attack or stroke-like symptoms, you should go to the emergency room.

No! Most urgent cares like Mills Urgent Care will accept walk-ins. However, if you would like you can schedule an appointment ahead of time to let us know you’re coming and to choose a time that would work for your schedule. 

The wait time will depend on numerous factors such as available staff, time of day, and the amount of other patients. But here at Mills Urgent Care, we focus on efficiency and will strive to get you in as soon as possible and provide the best care we can.

We recommend that you bring a form of ID, usually a driver’s license. If you have insurance, we also recommend you bring an insurance card.

At Mills Urgent Care, we are a family-oriented practice providing services to patients of all ages, from children only a few months old to seniors. 

Yes, you can visit and receive care without insurance. We offer affordable self-pay options and we can discuss pricing with you at your appointment so you know what to expect.

Mills Urgent Care has two convenient locations in the Auburn area, on Glenn/Dean and Shug Jordan/North Donahue.

Yes! We can provide quick and personalized care for Auburn students with a wide range of non-emergency medical needs, including illnesses, minor injuries, physicals, vaccinations, and more. We can prescribe medicines that help you get back to class as soon as possible, and in the meantime we can give a doctor’s note for excused absences.

Yes, our Mills Urgent Care providers can prescribe certain medications to help treat non-life threatening injuries and illnesses, however there are some medications that we may not be authorized to prescribe.

Yes! We have a brand-new digital x-ray machine that can be used at the discretion of a radiologist to help diagnose fractures or acute infection. All x-rays are reviewed by our providers and then read by a radiologist within a few hours for a secondary read.

No, you do not need to schedule an appointment for an x-ray. If you would like to schedule an appointment beforehand, you can do so and let us know that you would like an x-ray done. But we understand that injuries like sprains and fractures can happen quickly and unexpectedly, which is why we accept walk-ins for injuries of any kind. However, we recommend that you visit the emergency room for severe injuries such as head injuries or compound fractures.

Yes! We offer complete lab testing, including urine, blood, PCR swabs, and STD testing. We also have rapid in-clinic testing to diagnose strep, flu, covid-19, RSV, UTIs, and mononucleosis.

We can do x-rays of the upper and lower extremities as well as the spine, pelvis, abdomen and chest.

Yes! We can test for COVID, flu, and RSV as well as other common bacterial and viral infections such as Strep and Mononucleosis. We can do these tests in-clinic so that you get same-day results.

Absolutely! As part of our complete laboratory testing services, we can perform a urine test to determine whether or not you are pregnant.

Yes, Mills Urgent Care can treat you for accidents, illnesses and injuries suffered on the job. With our workman’s compensation services, we can make sure you are taken care of for any work-related injuries.

Yes! We provide U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) drug testing services at both of our Mills Urgent Care locations. We can test for a variety of substances in line with government standards, such as: Marijuana, PCP, Amphetamines, Heroin, Oxycodone, and Cocaine. If your job is regulated by a DOT agency and requires you to get a DOT physical before or after hiring, we can help you.

Yes! As part of Mills Wellness & Hydration, we offer a weight loss program that is designed to be more than just prescribing medications to help with weight loss. Yes, at Mills Urgent Care we can perform urine, swab and blood tests to diagnose STDs or STIs, whether you have symptoms or are just wanting to do a screening test. We can provide overnight discreet testing for you at either of our Auburn locations.

IV hydration therapy is a fast and effective way to rehydrate after becoming severely dehydrated, or to deliver vitamins and antioxidants directly into the bloodstream. It supports energy, immune health, and overall wellness.

Yes, we provide IV therapy services through Mills Wellness & Hydration, which is located at 2298 East University Drive, Suite A202 in Auburn. But we also provide IV hydration services at both of our urgent care locations.

Although we cannot provide psychiatric evaluations, counseling services, or prescribe new medications for mental health, we can provide refills of current regimens as long as our provider is comfortable with current medications. This can include ADHD medications. You’ll just need to provide proof of a recent prescription within the last three months, and proof from the previous prescribing provider.
